10 Largest Window Pistol Red Dots (2024)

For pistol shooters wanting to get on target faster, transition between targets quicker, and increase precision on-target, red dots with bigger windows (or forward lens) offer a larger sight picture for greater visibility, speed, and down-range accuracy potential.

Last year, we compiled our initial list of the largest window pistol dot sights. Since then, numerous new optic models have entered the market, with many catering to competitive shooters who benefit most from large window optics. Shaking up our rankings, below are the top 10 largest window pistol red dots of 2024.

Ranked largest to smallest by window width (typically the largest lens dimension), specifications were obtained directly from manufacturers. Only red dots capable of mounting directly to a pistol slide or with the use of a non-Picatinny rail adapter plate/mounting system were considered.

1. Cyelee Bull Pro / Bull X Pro

Window Dimensions: 34.5mm (W) x 26mm (H)

Topping this year’s list, Cyelee grabbed the bull by the horns with its Bull Pro and Bull X Pro red dots. Identical in size with industry-leading width and height window dimensions, the Bulls only differ in reticles, with the Pro featuring a 3 MOA red dot and the X Pro a red 2 MOA dot and 26 MOA circle Variable Reticle. The large windows are sandwiched between two raised and robust arches, or horns, that protect the RMR-footprint optic from drops, bumps, and rodeos.

2. Shield RMSx

Window Dimensions: 34mm (W) x 22mm (H)

Despite measuring 80-percent larger than the previous RMS optic, the Shield Sights RMSx features a second-best 34mm wide objective lens – just short of the Bulls. Offsetting its massive window is a smaller RMSc footprint, optimizing viewing potential for direct mounting to slimline and micro compact carry guns. The Shield RMSx is uniquely available in nine colors to match any custom build or flavor of the week with the choice of a red 4 MOA or 8 MOA dot reticle.

3. SIG Sauer ROMEO3XL

Window Dimensions: 32mm (W) x 24mm (H)

The first of back-to-back SIG Sauer pistol red dots, the ROMEO3XL has the largest window of the duo, showcasing a wide 35mm angular field of view for primary and offset use across handguns, modern sporting rifles, and shotguns. Fit with the C-More RTS mounting standard, the 3XL offers shooters the choice of a red 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot and manual illumination control with 12 brightness settings, powered by a side-loaded CR2032 battery.

4. SIG Sauer ROMEO3MAX

Window Dimensions: 30mm (W) x 24mm (H)

Developed in collaboration with Team SIG Captain, Max Michel, the SIG Sauer ROMEO3MAX is nearly identical in specs to the ROMEO3XL, just 2mm narrower. Measuring 30mm from corner to corner, the compact competition MAX version is also built on the C-More RTS standard footprint and available in a red-only 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot. SIG’s Motion Activated Illumination System powers up the optic when in use and powers down in between stages.

Note: The new SIG Sauer ROMEO3MAX PRO is known to have a larger window, but width and height dimensions are not available at this time.

5. MECHANIK M03

Window Dimensions: 29mm (W) x 24mm (H)

The largest of three reflex sights from the Turkish optics manufacturer, the MECHANIK M03 was designed for competition. Efficient, reliable, and rugged, the M03 protects its large window in a Tactical Concave Face (TCF) housing with corners to fend off bumps from an angle. A top-load CR2032 battery powers 10 brightness settings to illuminate a 6 MOA red dot for the perfect balance between speed and precision when up against the timer or and cardboard threats.

6. Bushnell RXM-300

Window Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 24mm (H)

Designed in coordination with 8-time Open World Speed Shooting champion, KC Eusebio, the Bushnell RXM-300 and its 28mm wide window comes in sixth on the list of largest window pistol dots. An EXO Barrier hydrophobic coating sheds water and debris for a crisp, clear view of its 4 MOA red dot reticle, illuminated by 12 brightness settings for shooting in any light. 7. Swampfox Justice II

Window Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 23mm (H)

Designed to win, the second-generation Swampfox Justice II is our largest window pistol dot sight yet. Measuring 30mm corner to corner, its lens is recessed for protection against surface racking, barriers, and the challenges of competition. Built with an RMR footprint and red or green 6 MOA dot or red 4-in-1 multi-reticle with 10 brightness settings and Shake N’ Wake auto on/off functionality, Justice II is the largest window pistol dot on the market offered with green illumination and a multi-reticle variant.

8. Holosun HS507COMP

Window Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 22mm (H)

The first Holosun optic to implement the Competition Reticle System (CRS), the HS507COMP window measures slightly smaller than the Swampfox Justice II for eighth on our rankings. Also offered in red and green illumination, the CRS multi-reticle includes four components, including a precision 2 MOA dot and three open circles, measuring 8 MOA, 20 MOA circle, and 32 MOA circle, with multiple combination settings to suit your preference for 50,000 hours of shooting.

9. Viridian RFX25

Window Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 20mm (H)

Technically tied for nineth, the Viridian RFX25 is another newcomer on our list. Built on the lesser used Docter/Noblex mounting standard compared to the RFX35’s RMR footprint, the RFX25 features a familiar optic profile with a uniquely green-only 3 MOA dot reticle. Ten manual brightness settings provide ample illumination on a fully multi-coated lens, powered by a bottom battery with INSTANT-ON technology for immediate action when moved.

10. MECANIK M02

Window Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 20mm (H)

Though smaller than the M03, the MECANIK M02 offers greater versatility while still maintaining a top-10 window size. Not too small for competition, but not too big for concealed carry, the M02 features a similar design with a TCF protected lens and separated illumination buttons offering 10 brightness settings for its red 3 MOA dot reticle. However, its CR2032 battery is loaded from the bottom rather than the top, offering a runtime of 40,000 hours.
