Dynamic Tactical
Shooting & 3-Gun

The affordably priced, highly versatile, crystal clear
Low Powered Variable Optic you have been waiting
for is here. Meet the Tomahawk.

RAPID TARGET
ACQUISITION

Both the BDC and MOA illuminated etched reticles are designed to instantly acquire your target at short and medium range from a preset 50/200 yard battle sight zero.

CLOSE QUARTER
BATTLE

With true 1x optical performance, this rifle scope and its reticles are designed to act like a red dot sight at short range. Keep both eyes wide open and maintain your focus on the target.

LONG RANGE
PRECISION

Crank up the magnification and have confidence in those long range shots with the Tomahawk's ultra bright sight picture. Both illuminated, glass etched reticles incorporate ranging and long range holdover aiming cues.

Second Focal
Plane (SFP)

The larger reticle vs. the target size at lower magnifications afforded by the SFP is ideal for 3-Gun competition or tactical shooting, allowing you to find and hit those short range targets faster.

Included Throw Lever

Because your holdovers are only accurate at the highest magnification, the included throw lever allows you to crank up or slam down the magnification in a split second.

1-8x24 with Guerrilla Dot BDC

Superior Optical
Performance

The Tomahawk series smashes the myth that you
need to spend half your paycheck to get clear,
good quality glass.

Bright and Clear
Sight Picture

The Tomahawk boasts edge to edge optical clarity throughout the entire magnification range.

True 1x
Performance

Impressive true 1x magnification. An instant 1x sight picture gets you on target faster, without having to adjust your eyes' focus.

Quality Glass,
Premium Coatings

Containing rare earth metals, the glass is optimized for maximum resolution and brightness. The lenses are fully multi-coated for maximum light absorption and anti-reflection, and sports extra specialty coatings for anti-fog, anti-scratch, and hydrophobic performance.

An Eye Box
With Latitude

Rifle scopes at this price range often have a limited margin of error for eye placement, creating ellipses and blocking the full sight picture unless your eye is positioned perfectly. The Tomahawk widens this margin of error, providing more speed and flexibility in acquiring your sight picture at full magnification.

Fast Focus

Everybody’s eyes are different. The fast focus adjustable ocular allows for micro adjustments to keep the reticle sharp at all times, whether illumination is on or off.

Eye Relief &
Field of View

The optic system is a finely tuned machine, allowing for generous eye relief while maximizing field of view. You won’t get fatigued looking through this scope.

Zero Reset Turrets

Zero reset turrets provide more flexibility and just work better than most zero-lock turret systems. Zero the scope to your preferences and adjust your dial markings to mark your ‘zero’. Always know where your zero is without counting clicks. This system works great for shooters who prefer to dial for windage and elevation. For shooters using the reticle holdovers, set your zero and leave the turrets alone- and if the turret somehow gets bumped, simply dial it back to zero with a quick twist.

Glass Etched
Illuminated Reticles

The 11 position illumination turret provides crisp
reticle contrast for both low light and bright
daytime conditions.

Guerrilla Dot BDC

Calibrated for the AR platform with a 16” barrel and using 5.56 NATO 55gr FMJ, this reticle does it all. It has a 1.3 MOA quick strike red dot, an 18” outer circle for quicker strikes at short range, holdovers out to 600 yards, and ranging capabilities for plinker plates and humanoid target shoulders out to 500 yards.

Guerrilla Cross MOA

This reticle combines quick strike capabilities as well as standard MOA hash marks for windage and elevation adjustments. It features a center cross with a 0.5 MOA center aiming point at the cross intersection, and an 18” outer illuminated circle. Use the red illumination markings for quick strike capabilities, and the black markings for standard MOA ranging and holdover calculations.

Spear Duplex

The Spear Duplex reticle is a simple, clean crosshair surrounding a center dot that can be illuminated in red. Fast and uncluttered, Spear Duplex offers no ranging, bullet drop compensation, or other advanced features. Zero in so that the center dot matches the point of impact at your preferred distance, and enjoy the simple, instinctive shooting experience.

Takes a Beating,
Holds Zero

Ever have that feeling that you need to treat your gun with kid’s gloves because you are worried about damaging the glass? You can shed that mindset with Swampfox. The Tomahawk is shock resistant to 1,100 Gs of shock, waterproof, sand proof, and pretty much gorilla proof.

    Amazing scope

Posted by Dylan welch on Nov 1st 2019

This scope is amazing. The glass is crystal clear. And unlike other scopes at full magnification you lose most of your focal length this is not the case with the tomahawk. I was worried that this was going to be like most of the Amazon specials because of the price but after watching videos about it and deciding it was worth a try. I couldn't be happier and I have already added the kingslayer and liberator to the cart as the next purchases.

Quality is unmatched, the illuminated BDC redical is great for short and long range. trust me this is the optic you’re looking for and will save you a lot of money and you can’t beat there customer service and product guarantee.

Outstanding close quarters optic. Purchased this item, order 2101, for placement on a new Springfield Arms. Saint Victor 5.56.
Received this scope within 6 days, nicely packaged and protected. Optics are extremely clear and well made. The BDC sighting retical is an amazing quick targeting mechanism ideal for quick acquisition and distance bracketing.
Sight is well made, durable, and true quality in construction. Easy to use, quick to zero, solidly made, and appears to be extremely reliable.
Great addition and worth every penny.

Absolutely a great optic. Used on my 300 BLK duty rifle and held up to every scenario I could throw at it. After hours of shooting and beating the hell out of it zero stated consistent. Would definitely purchase again!

Very impressed with this optic! It arrived quickly and exceeded my expectations! This optic is very clear and easy to use. The throw lever was a huge plus! I've served in the military and as a Law Enforcement Officer. I've used many optics and have found this to be amongst my favorites. Job well done!

    Quality Optic

Posted by Kelly Waltz on Oct 18th 2019

This is a solid quality optic. whether your going to mount it to a solid tactical performing rifle or use it for hunting it will do the job. The Guerilla cross option is great and gives a finer detail for precision shooting than just a dot. But while illuminated and on 1 power it is a great reflex sight.

    Tomahawk 1-6

Posted by Matt on Oct 18th 2019

This is an excellent scope so far. I mounted it on my Tikka 308 for Midwest hunting has I can benefit from having a 1x optic but turn it up to 6x if I happen to have a longer shot. Just sighted in the rifle and the clarity was great. Scope tracked well and had no issues with the sight in. Have not looked through at low light but I'm sure it'll be great. The fact that they supply a throw lever is awesome and something the industry should just supply, there is no reason to not have one included. The spear duplex is perfect for anyone wanting a simple reticle. All my shots taken within 200 yards so there is no real need for the BDC. Great scope for a fabulous price!

    Tomahawk 1-8

Posted by Terry Green on Oct 18th 2019

Frankly, I took a chance based on input from some friends that had used Swampfox. I'm pretty amazed at the clarity of the glass at all magnification levels and the forgiveness of the "eyebox" on this scope. I have it mounted much more forward than any other LVPO and have no difficulty getting a clear sight picture at any magnification. There is no parallax or "fish-eye on 1x. The reticle is crisp and easy to pick up. I am very happy thus far. Keep it up Swampfox.

Posted by andrew vanmeter on Oct 18th 2019

The scope is solid and the reticle is crisp an clear. The eye relief is excellent. The one area on the scope i found not as nice as the rest of the optic was the adjustments. Their seemed to be spongeyness between the positive tactile and audible clicks. That is just a user preference. Otherwise the scope is great. Ill send an update after some range time.

Best 1-8 scope for under $700 IMHO

Posted by Mike DeWitt from Sarge's Adventures on Sep 16th 2019

Very impressive scope for the $$$.
I get compliments on it each and every time some tries it out or looks thru it at the range.
GREAT Value, built well, and very clear and crisp sight picture.
reticle is very usable at even long ranges on my 12 inch Grendel.
Turrets track perfectly and are audible to adjust and easy to read.
I have tried several other models and this is my favorite 1-8x LVPO I have came across for under $700 easily.
I have recently painted mine and with the Awesome SwampFox Warranty I have no fear of voiding it.

    Great. And for the Money!

Posted by Whiskey Charlie on Sep 1st 2019

This scope was a bit of a gamble for me from a company I didn't know much about. Sometimes you get a great deal and sometimes you get burned in these situations. I struck gold with Swampfox. I have a few other directly comparable offerings from other well known companies so I have a pretty good baseline to compare to. I have ZERO complaints. Sturdy yet lightweight. Glass is incredible. And the fact that they real seem to take the end user into account on all their products makes me want to continue buying Swampfox. For example, everything comes with a throw ring of some type. If you shop the competition, you'll find that adding it isn't cheap (compared as a percentage of optic cost). This is especially desirable in the LPVO realm. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase and you will be too.

Initial review of Swampfox Tomahawk 1-4x.

Posted by David nathanson on Aug 12th 2019

A bit of back story, I was looking to replace my UTG 3x magnifier with either Vortex or Holosun magnifier. When I started researching I came upon LVPO sights and decided this might be a better route. After a lot of research and I ended up buying a Bushnell 1-4x24 Illuminated BTR-1. This was a FFP scope and even with the great reviews it did not fit my needs. Reticle was too small at 1x for me to use comfortably and it never got mounted. Shortly after I ordered, Mike from Swampfox had contacted me and told me about the Tomahawk. After I sent the Bushnell back, I had multiple conversations with Mike. He was hugely informative and passionate about the product line and I placed my order for the Tomahawk 1-4x scope, with their gorrila dot reticle and mount. One last caveat these are the only 2 rifle scopes I have used, and my Holosun 515c.

Packaging was good with a lot of foam inside, and very professional looking with instructions for the optic and the reticle. All parts and tools needed came with including battery, and throw lever.

Scope look was nicely finished in a matte black with matte white (light grey) branding that was subtle and not obnoxious. The Bushnell had a more gloss finish with a 2x2 metallic sticker on the ocular end.

Glass is to my inexperienced eye is very clear and bright, with no distortion. Better then the Bushnell and much better than the holosun. After mounting looking at my 25 yard target I could clearly see it under the reticle on 1x. I needed the magnifier with the holosun to get the same clarity.

Mounting was easy with the help of their video and cantilever mount. The only difficulty was picking a location on the rail because of the huge eye relief. I'm used to nose against charging handle and back off. I actually needed to extend my brace to use the scope. I mounted the scope as far forward on the top rail of the receiver with out going onto the handguard. Eye relief is huge and mounting height makes it very comfortable to shoot.

Reticle choosen was the Gorilla Dot and it is clear and precise. Not really sure how well holdover will work with 300blk. Strelok Pro version has all 3 reticle styles in the app. Illumination is very bright. Almost too bright on the higher settings causing a red ring around the scope even in bright daylight. The lower intensities are great and more than sufficient. Reticle was very visible in bright light even without illumination.

Zeroing was easy with very positive and audible clicks. Zero with 115g supers was quick and simple. It was very easy to reset the turrets back to zero for the round chosen. I plan to also zero for subsonic and make note of the change for flexibility.

Over all I am very pleased with the purchase and overwhelmed by the support provided by Mike. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

    Great Optic/Awesome Reticle

Posted by Jeremy Standifird on Jul 16th 2019

Superbly constructed body with fantastic glass. This is better than any of the bigger brands with similar, yet more expensive, offerings. What I love most is the reticle. The guerrilla cross MOA provides the perfect MOA design for fast acquisition at any magnification. And the illumination is great, making it all the better. I use it on my 6.8 SPC, and since Strelok Pro has this scope and reticle combo, I can create my dope sheets with ease. Well done, Swampfox. Welcome to the big-time!

A breakthrough at this price point

Posted by Dan K. on Jul 10th 2019

Let's face it, inexpensive Chinese scopes feel it, no matter whose name is on them. Not this time.

Packaging is not cheaply done. When unboxed, it FEELS like a Leupold quality tube, the right combination of weight and lack of bulk to give you confidence. Glass is good, way better than you would expect. eye box is as forgiving as they claim, adjustments are crisp, illumination is extremely bright, the throw lever could maybe use a fatter screw but at this point I am basically looking for something to complain about just so I don't come across as an unhinged fanboy.

    Very impressed.

So excited to have Chris representing Swampfox Optics on my favorite podcast, We Like Shooting! I purchased a Kingslayer months ago and love it. Then the Tomahawk came out, and just like that I had another Swampfox product! Now they've released the Patriot...what I'm I to do? Probably add yet another one of their products to something I own! I've had nothing but great experiences with these guys, shipped fast, quality above the cost, a great online chat with Mike, Chris was a great guest on the WLS podcast, what more can I say? Unfortunately, no review section on the page, so I'm just going to put this here, OK? Look forward to the as yet unnamed products coming down the line, glad to have companies like this in my home state of Colorado!

    Swampfox Optics

Posted by Bryan Greasor on May 27th 2019

I was in the market for another low power AR optic when I ran across Swampfox on Optics Planet. I was looking at Burris, Vortex, Primary Arms and others. I was leaning toward the Strike Eagle 1-6 again as I like the one I have already. Unfortunately there were no details or reviews at the time on the planet website, so I almost went right past this scope. Partly because of them being a new manufacturer in the big world of optics and the pricing was similar to well known manufacturers. I was a little apprehensive to spend the money for something that didn’t have many reviews and feedback. But I was interested in the MOA reticle and liked the Swampfox name. So, I did a lot of online searching to try to learn about Swampfox and found some interesting information on forums and started feeling better about the company and their products. I liked that they are a Colorado company and just up the road. I liked their approach to listening to what American customers want and building scopes that way. I also found a discount through expert voice right on the Swampfox website. That made a great deal on the 1-6x24 Tomahawk and beat anything I was finding for a Strike Eagle, so I went for it....and I’m so glad I did.
I’ve owned the scope for about a month now and put about 500 rounds downrange with it. Most definitely this scope competes with the Strike Eagle...and I’d say outperforms it. The MOA reticle is exactly what I wished the Strike Eagle had from the get go. Actually a nice cross between the Strike Eagle and my Burris Ballistic AR reticle. Very accurate, easy to see and use. The illumination is slightly more daylight visible that the Strike Eagle. I live in high desert, so outside of a red dot nothing really stands out. Still, I could see the red reticle more clearly with the Tomahawk. The turrets on both are very comparable. Positive clicks and track very nicely. The magnification is easy enough to adjust without the throw lever, similar to the Strike Eagle again. Awesome that the throw lever is included, nice bonus! I would add that I feel the Tomahawk is more of a true 1X optic. My opinion..could be the way I set it up or adjusted the focus. Very clean and clear image with no curve or distortion around the edges. The Strike Eagle was very comparable, but I noticed just a slight distortion at the edge, especially when switching from the Tomahawk. The Tomahawk also produces a crisp, clear image at 6X. The Tomahawk has excellent eye relief. I was surprised by this when I first mounted it.
Overall, I’m very happy with this scope and I’m an instant fan of Swampfox. Heck, I might be selling a Strike Eagle and buying another Tomahawk. And I cant wait to see what the Patriot long range scopes bring to the market!

i used the Tomahawk 1-8 this year for coyote hunting. my rifle lives a hard life during season. in and out of the truck, NEVER in a case. thrown in the back seat. banging off creek banks and iron gates in all kinds of weather and cold temps. the scope performed beautifully and repeats excellent. glass was clear the whole year in all conditions. you won't be disappointed.

    Used for varmint hunting

Posted by Gary Wallace on Apr 18th 2019

i used this scope in full on GI field conditions for coyote hunting. Cold weather, banging of gates and brush. in and out of vehicles, never in a rifle case. i found this to be a solid optic. repeatable adjustments and clear glass in all conditions. the ONLY reason i gave it 4 stars is i would like a zero stop added. in low light it would be nice to dial it down to the stop and know where you're at in elevation. sometimes in and out of vehicles optic knobs are rubbed and can move. it wasn't much of an issue with this scope but i like zero stops on my scopes. BUT it is a great optic. i used the cross hair reticle. looking forward to a PRS scope!

    LVPO

Posted by Derek on Mar 20th 2019

This is definitely a quality optic, and is possibly the best LVPO in its price range. In comparison to the Vortex Strike Eagle, which is probably its strongest competitor, it truly stands out. The glass quality is roughly equal between the two, but the Tomahawk feels more rugged and the Guerrilla BDC reticle is superior to the Strike Eagle's. However, if glass quality and ruggedness are your concern, spend the extra $300-$400 for a Sig Sauer Tango or a Vortex Viper PST.
The fact that it comes with the throw lever is a plus, too, and I am excited to try the Kingslayer on my Sig 320 X Carry.

    Great quality for the price

Posted by Justin on Mar 11th 2019

The grass is very clear, the turrets have positive clicks and the finish is very nice. I was torn between this and another optic from Vortex due to the price and Law Enforcement discounts provide to us.. and this being a newer company so I took the leap and purchased this instead. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would easily compare this to more expensive LVPO's I recommend It if you are looking for a great optic at a great price!

    Surprising under-rated ...

Posted by Rusty in Oregon on Feb 13th 2019

THIS is a great optic, that surprised me because I'd never heard of the company until I saw a review online. Wanted a little more magnification than the common 1x6, but didn't want covered turrets since I like making my own distance adjustments. This optic has crystal-clear edge-to-edge glass, bright illumination, smooth but firm adjustments for magnification and diopter, and seems solidly built all the way around. Compares very favorably with much more expensive optics I own and shoot. This one is lining up to be a new favorite for AR-15 shooting in the CCB to 200 yard range.

    Sturdy and Clear

Posted by Cameron A on Jan 17th 2019

This optic upon unboxing was quite impressive. No blemishes or machining marks. turrets and dials all have very positive adjustments/clicks. The glass is probably one of the most impressive parts. Its extremely clear. Durability, tracking and zero hold have yet to be tested, but if my observations so far are any indicator, i'm sure this optic will serve me well once its put into use

Just received my optic this week. Took it to the range and zeroed it in. Glass is clear. Turrets are very nice and clicky. I still have to do more testing with it. But for a really good price point optic I give it 5 stars. Also their customer service was great. There's only 2 companies I would use now for price point optics and SwampFox is one of them.

    Quality

Posted by James Shaffer on Dec 28th 2018

It sure was very hard for me to purchase a Scope from a new Company. But I already had been curious started researching the Company and signed up for there Email. At Christmas time I received there offer to buy one Get one so that gave me the opportunity to have one to test. After 40+ years of owning every brand Optic there is and what to normally look for after reading all the details I knew if it could pass a torture test this Optic had all the Functions to be used on my Battle Rife And be used in 3 Gun Championship Shooting. It was only 2 clicks low at 50 yards out of the box on a 14.5 556 Barrel. The Reticle is very Daylight bright and the Horseshoe Is a true 12 inch as stated in the instructions. I shot 200 Rounds of 223/556 55g /62g. It Tracked absolutely perfect and the Glass is unreal Clear like you see in Optics twice the price. I was taking it off of my AR15 to see if it would hold up to the Recoil of my 308 rifle while it was off I decided to really give it a test I threw it as hard as I could it bounced up did a 360 or 2 and hit direct on the rear lense the front and rear Reticle was full of mud I cleaned it out with a water hose and tooth brush brush put it back on my AR15 to see what all broke and it was still dead zero at 50 all way out to 200 yards that’s all the distance I had that day. People this product is the Real Deal I don’t have a clue how they do it for the cost but I don’t care either. I want every Optic they sale before the word gets out to everyone. I’m going to Purchase the 1-8-24 next and replace a $840.00 Optic on my Custom 6.5 Grendel Hunting Rifle. This Company is on a Mission.
