MISSION SPECIFIC

Blade is designed to address issues faced in CQB situations, making it an ideal solution for those who require accuracy and speed while dealing with height over bore challenges. The BRC reticle also includes a 50-200 yard zero for the tip of the chevron, further enhancing its effectiveness.

MISSION SPECIFIC

BULLET RISE COMPENSATION

As everyone knows, gravity has a downward effect on moving projectiles; the longer the distance, the greater the effect. When it comes to standard zeros, like the 50 to 200, short-range engagements become more difficult due to height over bore. Blade's BRC offers a solution with dedicated holds for 5, 10, and 15 yards when used on an AR-15 and similar platforms.

BULLET RISE COMPENSATION

ILLUMINATION AND SHAKE N’ WAKE

Blade is available in red, green, or amber illumination variants. The two lowest settings offer NV device compatibility, while settings 3 through 8 offer indoor brightness settings, with 9 and 10 being daylight bright for direct overhead light environments. Blade offers a true grab-and-go level of readiness with Shake N’ Wake. After 225 seconds without motion, reticle illumination shuts off to preserve battery life, leaving the etched reticle to remain in black. Any movement at all will wake up the optic, returning it to the previous illumination setting. In a worst-case scenario, the etched reticle will always remain black if the battery were to malfunction or fail.

ILLUMINATION AND SHAKE N’ WAKE

SHOOT FAST, MOVE FAST

Unlike typical red dots, prisms have constraints on eye relief and the eye box. To counteract this problem, we added a 13.5mm exit pupil, providing a forgiving and tremendous view. Once mounted, you will be able to set the rear diopter, allowing for a both-eyes-open shooting experience.

BLADES CUTTING EDGE

Having an etched reticle gives every user some sort of advantage, whether it is users who suffer from common astigmatism or someone who just wants to be ready for the end of the world. Blade has something to offer for everyone. Blade's chemically etched reticle and rear diopter make for an ideal sight picture for almost anyone, providing a fast and clear aiming tool.

Reticle

Blade's Bullet Rise Compensating (BRC) Reticle is optimized for home defense and law enforcement applications, where nearly all defensive rifle use occurs inside 50 yards, and the most significant chance of close quarters engagement occurring at 15 yards or less.

WHAT THE HECK IS A BULLET RISE RETICLE

Although gravity always pushes bullets downwards, at very close distances the bullet appears to "rise" from the muzzle to meet the point of aim in the optic, due to the scope's mechanical offset or "height over bore." The BRC reticle is the first reticle to offer dedicated holds for 5, 10, and 15 yards compensating for this effect.

CQB HOLDOVERS

The BRC Reticle is broken down into the following holds when Blade is mounted on an AR style firearm or any other firearm with a similar optic mounting height over the barrel. The CQB holds will not be as valid when Blade is mounted to an AK or other platform with radically different optic height over bore.

ONE RETICLE, ANY CALIBER

The 50/200 yard battle sight zero is applicable only to 5.56 NATO and .308 Win calibers. The rest of the holds will work with any barrel length and any caliber because range is so short. Bullet paths have very little chance to diverge due to velocity or ballistic coefficient differences at just 5 to 15 yards, so a .22lr point of impact is nearly identical to 9mm or 7.62x39.

  • I mounted the Blade on an AR pistol, but have not had the chance to zero it yet. It looks durable and from what little I have acquainted myself with the optic, it looks like it will work as intended.

  • Superb quality at a phenomenal price Comments: I am a Lieutenant with a police department that I have ordered over half of patrol this etched reticle for their patrol rifles. I liked that it’s etched. It has different holds for different ranges, to give the officer the best chance to make a precise shot when it is most needed. The glass is clear, and the etched reticle is easy to see even if it’s not illuminated. I have also noticed that with my stigmatism, it is much clearer for me over my red dots or my holographic sites.

  • I actually bought 2 of these: one for training, and one for a working gun. Absolutely daylight bright - Love the reticle. Only minor thing is, the fit of the flip caps that are included: the detent on them is so strong that the caps pull off the optic before they flip open. Would love to see caps with a screw down type system, like some of the tenebrex. But most other companies don’t even include the caps or kill flash, so thumbs up to swamp Fox! Glass is clear and optic is not hard to use and easy to mount!

  • Blade Red: I have tested and after a few months I feel confident about what I say about it. This thing is awesome have had no problems. It's on a AR 9 and it's perfect for that. The only reason for not 5 stars is adjustments are not crisp/tactile but work and stay after riding in the pick-up a lot. Second and it's not a big deal weight, but might be a good thing and the reason it's still good after falling out of my truck several times. I recommend this to anyone who asks me about it and the people that have used it like it. Another great thing is the reticle 25-yard zero with 9mm it works at the 15, 10, and 5 ranges and also can be used for longer ranges.

  • So, you’re looking for reviews of the Blade 1x25 prism optic from Swampfox. Here it is. I have 3 optics from Swampfox since they made the scene for reasonably priced optics. I have the Tomahawk 1-5, a red dot w/iron side (yet to be mounted), and I recently purchased the Blade on sale for the 4th. Let me start with I am a Texas LEO and firearm/patrol rifle instructor. During my time in LE, I have used various optics (Trijicon, EoTech, Vortex, and a number of others). I have preferred my Trijicons and Vortex optics. I have used Burris Fastfires and Leupold Optics However, I am a LEO, so budget is both a concern for my personal and my professional firearms. I am very impressed by Swampfox! So, the Blade! Made for the AR platform and they put a ton of thought into it. The learning curve is the easiest you’ll find in a prism optic w/BDC!! I mounted the Blade, out of the box, on a new AR build, fired about 30-40 rounds down range at 25/50/100…then I went to qualifications two days later. It was so spot on that I didn’t bother changing anything. I read the instructions a few times and then put the optic to the test. 100yds top of the trident. 75yds top of the trident. 50yds top of the trident. 25yds and on the move in. Flawless. The optic was clear and amazing. Fellow officers were more than impressed with the clarity of the Blade and the prism/reticle. The green dot version even worked outstanding for an officer with an astigmatism. Out of the box?! Best optic I have found for the price point. There is no better optics on the market than what Swampfox is doing. I don’t say that lightly. I have and am recommending Swampfox to any and every agency looking for a “budget” optic for sidearms and rifles. Absolutely outstanding!!

  • I have got to say at first I was skeptical with this sight. It was a little bigger than I wanted and then I put it on my pcc and instantly fell in love with this. It works great and have had zero issues. I loved it so much I bought another and I don't even have a gun to put it on. It's a quality optic and has clear glass. Probably my favorite optic.

  • Amazing optic! Zeroed easily and held it through 100+ rounds so far. Love how quickly it picks up. Perfect for my AR9 build. AND a generous veteran discount?! Doesn't get better than that!
